#12 How to spin F: A Solution
F a vehicle of expression transforms the composer’s vision and compels him to contemplate why a perfect circle means nothing until it sits beside a finite digit. The proof is in the music (12 of 14)
One way to make this fast: describe familiarity as a comfort zone for a know-it-all. Spot the phrase in italics and hear the music for 20 “smart reader” points.
As a follow-up to newsletter 11 this is an abrupt change over.
Absence of agony is nice. No term describes it better and since something deja vu like might be occurring, never having the experience before makes it impossible to be sure, but infinity seems also to be playing a role in this quirky transition.
Newsletter 10 mentions something resembling a clue and by jogging the memory or simply looking it up the only realistic thing to look at is the part about the future sliding by — one picture repetitiously.
Analysis, inspection and plain common sense rule out infinitude as a reliable theory. To prove the cause of this condition, the only thing necessary is to simply be there.
Nothing involving the future can add credibility to it either, because although time is an essential measurement speculation and probability can be ruled out making the situation relatively simplistic. Everything happening, doing so for a reason as they say and every time happening for the same reason over and over then over and over again and again has an odd way of seeming like the first time, every time it occurs.
Nobody needs to call the experts to determine what this is — a trap — and all anyone needs to do to be certain they are actually in one is try to get out, if they can get around to finding a solution. The best part about the whole scenario is there is no time limit and if the rise and fall of the sun determines a shortness of opportunity there is no question. Just start over.
When ‘F’ established itself as meaningful in newsletters previous to this one it was a letter on a mission to surpass the limitations of its alphabetical position, elevate its role from a consonant to a personality and influence decisions having anything to do with progress and as anyone should expect from such a fictional conjecture almost any positive characteristic can be ascribed to the outcome.
The proof — the only residual with a chance to bring validity to this avenue of discourse is the tangibility of the music before becoming a virtual production when it was thought about, dreamed about and forged out of time to bring everything this far in the series and enable the prospect of determining a resolution for its raw beginning.
Believe it or not there is a geometric style of philosophy suited to the imagery of this newsletter (note: believing it is not really necessary) and anyone understanding the relationship of the center of a circle to its circumference will relate to it. Assertion starts at the center of a circle, the easiest way to solve the problem, in this case considered “a tedious repetitious cycle of occurrences” and getting straight to the point is the objective because newness is always at the end of a straight line.
